Born in Florida to a family who thought winter was a bad word, Ellie fell in love with Colorado and skiing in 2014. She moved to the state to find mountains and seasons and was forever changed.
She has worked tirelessly over the 23/24 winter to create a foundation for female connection, group dynamic healing, backcountry education, and adventure safety.
Within Backcountry Beauties she acts as ring leader, event coordinator, app developer, strategic planner, photographer, videographer, graphic designer, web developer, copywriter, marketer/researcher, operations manager, and director.
Beyond the slopes and ever the entrepreneur, she owns several businesses from app/web development, to building cryptomining equipment and educational content, to the automotive repair shop her partner runs day to day. She also bartends part-time at Ball Arena and Fiddlers Green, working Avs and Nuggets games and concerts.
Born to a family of teachers, Jordyn followed her love of education into a degree in Library Science. After meeting a partner just as adventurous as she was, they started their family and welcomed two caring, intelligent, driven twin boys and moved west to relish in every moment.
Driven by this love of education and connection, Jordyn works tirelessly to formulate, organize, and set up our educational Zoom sessions.
In her every day life, she is the Children’s Director at Great Divide Calvary, bringing light and passion into every community act she touches.
Always an athlete, Cassie studied accounting then spent the first chapters of her professional career crunching numbers for bigwigs. After tiring of growing burnout and passion disconnect, she stepped away from the grind to reconnect with life passions.
For Backcountry Beauties, she works to help further new earth economics, infusing the community with a new approach to shared investment. Driven by gift economy principles, she aspires to help others find new fulfillment through re-examining the energetic exchanges we participate in daily.
Day to day, she oversees the operations of her ever expanding sign business, along with working as a death doula in Summit County.
Raised on the slopes of Vail, Danielle Taylor (DT) made an early entry into the world of professional racing, guiding, and instructing. She skied on the FIS circuit for the past 8 years and was a GoPro games athlete over the past three years, while climbing on the NorAm and Collegiate circuits.
During the 2023/24 season, DT has hosted several educational Zoom sessions and a gear training session. Her goal is to add more avalanche safety sessions and get as many rad women into the outdoor space as possible.
After graduating from Colby College last year, she is currently working on a PhD in neurobiology, while also working as a professional guide, climbing route setter, and competing as a multi sport athlete. This June she will complete her AMGA certification.
