Event Attendee Agreement
Backcountry Beauties facilitates connections among women in the outdoors, enabling them to organize and participate in community-driven events.
Each event is initiated by a Creator who starts the momentum. After which, decision-making and event dynamics are collaboratively managed by participating members.
There are no guides or leaders, just a community organizing together.
Community Commitment
Feeling isolated or lonely in your hobbies is a real thing in Colorado.
Well, IT WAS Before Backcountry Beauties
We’re working to change that with our ladies and coed communities. Together we’re uniting the fragmented outdoor sports community, uniting, communicating, and learning from each other.
In order to recreate together, we must agree to a set of personal responsibility standards and expectations. By attending community events, you agree to these standards and doing your part in keeping our coop thriving.
Personal Responsibility
You agree to do your part in preparing for and participating in events, and engaging within the community.
You agree to the Event Attendee Disclaimer, signing a waiver at each event, and the rest of the expectations outlined here.
You are strongly encouraged to complete officially certified courses to learn and advance your skills.
You are expected to share with the community your thoughts, concerns, and feedback before, during, and after the event.
You are expected to respect, encourage, and support other community members as they continue to develop skills in the outdoors.

Prepared
You will arrive at each event ready and raring to go! You will dive into the event details beforehand, do your homework, and come equipped with all the gear you’ll need. You will meet all the requirements and be physically ready for the adventure.
You will bring your mental A-game, be prepared for any surprises, and stay flexible as conditions change and the group makes decisions.

Event Participation
You will be an active decision maker in the event activity. Even when coming to an event, you will be ready to help play an active role in the group’s success for the day.
No one is a passenger at an event, we are all co-creators participating together. Whether you’re reminding others to stay hydrated, monitoring weather conditions, or keeping track of time and winds, your active engagement is crucial to ensuring the event’s success.

An Evolving Plan
is a Good Plan
Sticking to static protocols in an everchanging environment can lead to injury, death, and serious physical and mental harm.
Never pick one plan and stick with it. You should have Plans A through Z and continue evaluating conditions to minimize your exposure to risk.
Avalanches are far from the worst danger we can encounter while outside of the comforts of our homes. Returning from an outdoor adventure is a success.
May we all continue to have successful adventures together until we’re old.
